Cell phone policy

Cell Phone Policy:

While Ouachita School District recognizes the importance of technology in today's world we also believe there is a time and place for these devices to be utilized.  Cell phones and other personal technology devices cause many issues in the school and distract greatly from the instruction and learning that each student is here for.   Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, Ouachita School District will operate on a “no electronics in sight” policy from 7:35-4:00. This includes, but is not limited to, cell phones, iPod, iPad, Apple watches or their equivalent, headphones, video games, earbuds and personal laptops/tablets/ computers. Electronics of any type must be turned off and stored in a bag, backpack or locker and not directly on their person. State approved assistive technology devices will be exempt from this rule.
